Removing personal information from Google searches

    Hello

    An old page on this wordpress site still has my person email details on it, saved in a PDF. I am a therapist and it is important that my personal details are no longer on the website.

    Even though the hosts who I am friends with have deleted the old page, it still comes up in search engines, with this PDF which has my personal email on it

    Old page – now deleted – but still turns up in google searches of my name ‘shan rixon’

    New page – now live – with new PDF that doesn’t have my personal email on it

    Is there a way to completely delete the old page and stop it from working? I can get written permission from the hosts.

    I have run the Google search console / my removal request

    Hi, this site isn’t hosted on our servers. I’d recommend looking in the media library for the file and removing it there, plus searching pages and posts for references to it. Then when they’re gone you can ask console to remove it.

    Could you give me some fool proof, step by step instructions for the first part regarding media library please for the following?

    Log into your site’s WP-Admin dashboard, and click on Media in the dashboard menu. Find the file in question, click on it, and look for the option to delete the file.

    If your hosting provider uses a CDN to serve images on your site, you might also need to contact them to remove the image from the CDN caches.
