Removing Quotes
-
I have these ridiculous quotes I can’t, for the life of me, figure out how to kill. You can see them on my posts on the home page. Here’s the quotes:
– ‘Individually, we are one drop. Together, we are an ocean.’
– ‘The few stars left below the seaward frown of the vault shine feebly as into the mouth of a black cavern.’
– ‘The Violas had them in their ears as though invisible ghosts hovering about their chairs had consulted in mutters as to the advisability of setting fire to this foreigner’s casa.’PLEASE show me how to delete this stuff.
Thanks,

So, it seems like you added your new posts by editing the existing sample posts, which included those quotes.
On the sample posts, those quotes are saved as excerpts: https://wordpress.com/support/excerpts/
You can start a new post, independent of the sample content, by following the steps at https://wordpress.com/support/posts/ and delete sample posts by following the steps at https://wordpress.com/support/posts/#delete-a-post
