  Hi, my domain (wheresemily.com) has expired and I am trying to recover it. I had it in my cart to renew, and a few minutes later it disappeared and now I can’t figure out how to renew it.

  I’m guessing that during that brief time you let it lapse, someone else scooped it up and now owns it. They’ll offer to sell it back to you, eventually, for several hundreds of dollars. That’s the reason my website is now a .NET instead of a .COM.

  Don’t let your domain name registration lapse!
