Renew domain mapping

  I purchased domain mapping back in 2014 and it never renewed. How do I go about renewing it without going through the whole process of transfering domains again? I believe my records are still pointed to wordpress.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  To map your domain again on WordPress.com you need to purchase one of our plans. The domain mapping feature is now included in all of our plans and cannot be purchased separately anymore.

  Thank you. What I am trying to do is actually just update my cname in dns. My email is through google and I forgot my password, so they’ve asked me to take this step to verify that I actually own the domain associated with the email address.

  Am I able to access dns in wordpress without buying a new plan?

  Hi @hawkeslawgroup, are talking about on hawkeslawgroup.com? If so, that domain is registered through Godaddy, so you would need to log in there and then you can change/edit the cname records.

  Thank you @thesacredpath. That will not work because although I purchased the domain with GoDaddy, everything is pointed to WordPress right now. Updating my Cname can only happen through WordPress.

  How may I make this change?

  Right now, while the domain points to WordPress, it is not working here because you do not have mapping.

  Mapping allows DNS to show the correct site, set up email, etc. If you don’t intend to use the site here anymore, you can point the domain back to GoDaddy and use their DNS settings.

  If you do want the site to work here, you’ll need a plan with mapping. Then the site will work, and you’ll be able to edit the DNS settings for email as well.

  Thank you @supernovia. I do intend to relaunch the site so I guess I’ll have to get a plan since you no longer offer domain mapping on its own.

  Appreciate your help.
