  I’ve just renewed for a year even though my current year doesn’t expire till January (19, I think). However, I’ve only been credited with renewal from today’s date, 20 December 2014, till 20 December 2015, i.e. I’ve been penalised by a month for paying in advance!

  I’m seeing the expiration date as being 2016-01-19. You may be seeing a renewal date of a month earlier than that if you have auto-renewal set up. We run auto renewals 30 days before the expiration to avoid any foul-ups that could risk the loss of something like a domain registration. But your actual expiration date should be 2016-01-19.

  Does that make sense?
