renewal of upgrades… how?!

I took over someone’s blog for them.
They forwarded me an email about some upgrades (Custom Design and “No Ads”) that are expiring.
When I go to the store page, I don’t see any way to actually renew them!Screenshot:

Am I just dense? I don’t see any way to renew these things.

I am not sure if people other than the original owner can renew things – saw a bit but my memory is not that good.
My best advice is contact the staff for help; http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/
I will also flag this for staff attention.

The upgrade can only be renewed by the user who purchased them.
If you have the purchaser contact us, we can transfer the upgrades to your account, but it may just be easier to purchase them yourself right after expiration.

The original owner is no longer involved with this project, and we need to renew our services (by tomorrow if at all humanly possible). That shouldn’t be that difficult should it?

macmanx, Will we lose any customizations if we let them expire?
Using the custom design we have built a rather complex integration between our .com and our wordpress.com blog.
To have them expire and lose those 20-40 hours of work seems illogical. There has to be a way for me to give you my credit card and keep our small business running?

suydammy, it’s possible that you may lose the design, I can’t guarantee that. So, before it expires, I recommend saving what exists in the CSS tab to a text file on your computer.
Use TextEdit if you’re on a Mac or NotePad if you’re under Windows.

is there any way for WordPress support to just take my credit card and allow this to be renewed? I’m an administrator of the blog, so it’s not like i’m some chump trying to buy things as a gift. :-)

Unfortunately, we cannot do that.
The upgrades would need to be transfered to your account or re-purchased after expiration.

I see nothing wrong with someone that is a member (or most anyone) giving a blog a renewal of an upgrade. Be a nice touch to be able to do that.

Have the original owner contact us via http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ and we’ll get that straightened out.
