    I overlooked the renewal email for my site which was sent on 10/31/2016. Can I still renew? Please help!

    Hi there,

    I was able to map nocplace.com for you. You’ll still need to do a few things:

    1) Purchase the subscription here by renewing:
    https://wordpress.com/my-upgrades

    2) If you haven’t done so already, point the domain to our name servers:

    ns1.wordpress.com
    ns2.wordpress.com
    ns3.wordpress.com

    3) After giving that a few hours to take effect, set the domain as primary under https://wordpress.com/my-domains

    I’m waiting for my Domain Provider to update the DNS settings, but while waiting, I noticed that nocplacedotcom.wordpress.com goes to a blank page. Did I lose my old wordpress site?

    Hi there,

    You didn’t lose your content on nocplacedotcom.wordpress.com, but it is not being forwarded to nocplace.com. So, you’ll see what ever content is displayed at your site host, which is at the moment that blank page.

    Is there a way I can view the content while I wait for our Domain Provider to respond? I just want to verify the content is still there since I don’t see it when logged into wordpress which makes me a little nervous.

    Yes, you’ll need to set nocplacedotcom.wordpress.com as your primary domain here.

    I set nocplacedotcom.wordpress.com as the primary domain, and when I open up this url I get a WordPress “Nothing Found” page.

    by “this url” I mean nocplacedotcom.wordpress.com…. the link button screwed up the url in the previous post

    Yes, that is the WordPress.com site that you were referring to, correct? You didn’t want to see the self-hosted site that your custom domain was pointing to, but rather the WordPress.com site hosted here? From what I see in the history of the site, you haven’t added any content, so that is what you should see.

    Can I speak with someone via phone?

    The site nocplacedotcom.wordpress.com most definitely had content prior to October 2016. So I would like to know why it no longer does, and what you can do to recover it.

    From a snapshot taken of the site by the Wayback Machine on 10/10/16 (https://web.archive.org/web/20160830032042/http://www.nocplace.com/), you can see from the html source that the page was generate by Word Press (“<meta name=”generator” content=”WordPress 4.6″ />”). So where has my content gone?

    Hi there,

    We do not provide phone support, but I believe I can clarify.

    The link you provided is from the wayback machine is from nocplace.com, not nocplacedotcom.wordpress.com and that site was not hosted by WordPress.com. That is a self-hosted WordPress.ORG site. You’ll need to contact the site host in order to retrieve that content. Who Is Data is saying that Go Daddy is the site host. So, they should be able to help you.

    Again, the WordPress.com site you have with us, nocplacedotcom.wordpress.com, was created a year ago and I’m looking at the history log – the only thing that has been done to the site is a theme switch when you first created the site. There’s hasn’t ever been content added to this particular site.
