  Hello,
  Is it possible to downgrade my plan from business to personal or freelancer? How will this affect my plugins and theme?

  Site: (email visible only to moderators and staff).
  WP.com: Yes
  Correct account: Yes

  You do need a Business or eCommerce plan to use plugins and a custom theme, so those will be gone when you down grade, and you may also lose any content added by plugins.

  If you’d like us to proceed with the downgrade, please let us know.

  Hi Verne,

  What we’ll do now is to revert your site to the state it was before you installed the first plugin/third-party theme.
  As staff-blorbo mentioned above, this may result in some content loss, so I’d recommend creating a backup site, just in case. You can export all your content and import it to a free private site. Once you confirm here that your content is all backed up, we’ll proceed with the revert and, after that is done, you’ll be able to purchase any plan you desire.

  Thank you for your help. I decided to renew with using the Business Plan and then over the next year I can be better prepared and rework my site prior to the renewal.
