Renewed domain and it has brought renewal date forward

  Having been prompted for a couple of months now to renew my domain (bought on Feb 19th 2012) I did so a couple of days ago (10th Jan) and am now being told that my next renewal date will be Jan 20th 2014 not Feb 19th 2014. Why have i lost time on my domain just from renewing when prompted?

  Domain name registrations renew 30 days before they expire so if there is a problem you have time to correct the problem – you should see the expires on date at a full year
