Renewed site and all my content is gone. How can I get it back?

  • Unknown's avatar

All my content has been deleted except for one post from 2011 on my casaocotal site (casaocotal.com) I wanted to renew and paid the $13 for transferring names and now it is all gone? Help!

    Thanks,

    Brad Schultz

  • Hi Brad, I check your site’s history and it shows no posts deleted in the last year. There are also no posts in your trash.

Do you recall the titles of any posts that you’re not seeing?

Do you have any other WordPress sites?

Well the site had a bunch of other posts, but I only see one post from 2011 now. I do not have any other WordPress sites, but anything connected to casaocotal is what I need to remap.

    Thanks,

    Brad

  • Hi Brad, I can request a system restore of your site if you give me a date to which the site should be rolled back. Let me know if you’d like to go this route. Any changes made since that date will be permanently inaccessible.

Sometime in April 2013 would be fine I believe it was working then.
    Thanks,
    Brad

  • Hi again Brad – one of our developers has looked directly in your database and verified that no posts were deleted from this site, so a system restore would not change anything.

Is it possible that there’s another site under a different user account that you might be thinking of? Can you recall a post title or do you have a copy of any old posts handy that you could paste here? That might help me find it for you. Thanks!

No, my only site was casaocotal.wordpress.com I renewed the forwarding to casaocotal.com a few weeks after it had expired, but I guess the system deleted it or something. It is strange because there were a number of posts over the last few years and it only seems to have kept one from 2011. Not sure what happened, but I may have to start from scratch.
