renewing an upgrade

    Hello,

Renewal of our premium plan upgrade is due by the end of this week. The person who made the purchase is no longer employed by our organization and I believe she was the owner. We’re unable to get in touch so that she could transfer ownership to another staff administrator and renew our plan.

    Two things:

    1) Is there any remote possibility that someone at WordPress.com can transfer ownership of our organization’s wordpress blog without her explicit approval?
    2) If we let the current upgrade expire and a new upgrade is purchased through my administrator account, will we lose all of our CSS customizations or will that be retained?

Please let me know if more info is needed. Thanks in advance for the help!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I still have not gotten a response so I’m replying again to hopefully get this post bumped up and seen.

My immediate concerns really lie in Question #2. I’d hate to purchase a new upgrade and start from scratch with all our customizations. If anyone could give me an answer on this issue I’d much appreciate it. Our upgrade expires this Saturday so a quick response would be helpful. Thanks!

Every WordPress.COM blog has a sole owner and it is the person with the WordPress.COM username account who registered the blog under that username account and associated email address.

Below is what the blog’s owner must do.

You must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog and purchased upgrades to renew them or transfer the blogs and the upgrades to another username account.

To transfer a blog from one username account A to another username account B you must first log in under the username account A that owns the blog you want to transfer to the other username account.

Then you add the other username account B as an Admin of the blog.
    adding users http://en.support.wordpress.com/adding-users/
    user roles http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/

Then you A can use this process to transfer the blog to that username account B instead http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account

    Then see here http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#transferring-upgrades

Staff work through all forum threads tagged for their attention and through all email support tickets in order of datestamps and timestamps – first posted first served, as would be expected. Bumping your thread moves the timestamps forward and means it takes longer to get help.

How long it takes to clear the threads and support tickets depends on how many Happiness Engineers are working on them at any given point in time. It also depends on how complex the issues in each thread and ticket are are.

P.S. The strong tag was not intended above. It was entered accidentally.

Thanks for the quick response, Timethief. I didn’t know that bumping the thread would be a detriment. Thanks also for clearing the issues up. I had thought I’d gone through the FAQ and the forums but perhaps I didn’t dig around enough.

    Hi Dorothy,

I can’t transfer ownership of the site and the current WordPress.com Premium plan without the current owner’s approval. However, it would be a real bummer to have to go through a period of time where your site doesn’t have its customizations — I just sent you an email so we can discuss the details about purchasing a new Premium plan for your site as soon as possible.

Please check the email address linked to your account for an email about that, and let me know here if that email doesn’t arrive.
