Renewing domain registration and canceling domain mapping

    Hi, my domain mapping and registration is up for renewal. I would like to renew my domain registration but cancel my domain mapping (hosting service) with wordpress.com. Could you please let me know how to go about doing this?

    Hi there!

    Hosting here at WordPress.com is completely free. The domain mapping upgrade is what connects your domain to an actual site, whether that’s here at WordPress.com or at another host.

    In order to have a domain registered you need both the domain registration and the domain mapping upgrades.
