Renewing Site

  Hi team! My site, sparkleinyourstep.com had expired in February 2017. I wanted to renew and reactivate the site. I’m having trouble figuring out how to do that on the wordpress site. How do I reactivate the site and renew the blog? Thanks for your help!

  sparkleinyourstep.com has gone past the point of “in redemption” and has now reached “pending delete” so you’ll need staff to tell you if it can be recovered. I have added modlook to the tag box on the right for staff to investigate further.

  Hi @melakkas, the domain is pending deletion. We can’t get it back for you at this point, but you may be able to register it as soon as it is released — that should be sometime in the next several days.

  Hi @supernovia. Thanks for the note. Bummer! Ok….What’s the best way for me to find out when I’m able to hopefully register it again? When I register it again do I lose all the content that was previously on there?

  @melakkas as long as the site is on our servers, your content will stay put. We have free plans, so you’d just revert back to the free version until you can add a domain again.

  And I’m guessing it will be available again around the 30th, since that’s 5 days since the domain’s last status update. No guarantees there, but it feels to me like they stay in “pending delete” for about 5 days, typically, before they’re released.

  @supernovia Thank you so much for your response and help. I just took a look and it was available for me to purchase a new plan. So, I did. It looks like it may be all set and good to go (hopefully!). The only thing I’m wondering if that previously I had “sparkleinyourstep.com” but when the domain name availability came up it looked like “sparkleinyourstep.blog” was the next best option. I didn’t see a “.com” option. Do you know the easiest way for me to see if “sparkleinyourstep.com” is still available, or an option?

  Hi there,

  sparkleinyourstep.com does appear to be available, but a record might be stuck in our system making it think the domain is not available.

  I see you’ve already bought a .blog domain instead, but if you’d prefer the .com I can ask a developer to take a look so we can try to un-stick the domain. Just let me know.
