Replying to a blog
-
I wanted to reply to a blog I was on and when it got to the account I put in WordPress and then Gravatar when that did out work and my id. Neither would take. Is the a specific way I need to put the address in so that I can respond? The choices were google, livepress, type press, open id, or name/URL. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

We cannot provide an accurate answer unless or until you tell us exactly which post you are referring to. What is the URL for post in question in the form of an active link starting with http:// ?
-
After I write my comment, I am then directed to a box that states Comment As: these are the following choices – Google Account, LiveJournal, WordPress, TypePad, AIM, Open ID, Name/URL or Anonymous. I have tried repeatedly to use the WordPress one which looks like this: http://username.wordpress.com. I input my username and it does not take. Does that answer your question?
-
Does that answer your question?
No. It does not answer my question.
My question restated for clarity is:
Exactly what is the URL of the exact post that you are trying to comment on?
Unless or until you provide that relevant URL, we cannot accurately your question so please post it now.

(email visible only to moderators and staff) in this URL. Sorry about my misunderstanding of your question.

Hi again,
We are experiencing a communication breakdown.I did not ask for an email address. I asked for a site address starting with http:// for the exact blog post you are trying to comment on. I’ll tag this thread for a Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting. -
Timethief, the miscommunication is all on me. That’s what I get when speeding through something. I sent the corrected info. Again, I apologize for the screwup.
-
Okay that’s not a WordPress.COM hosted blog. It is an adult content Blogger blogspot blog. Maybe reading this will be helpful or maybe not Crazymaking Blogger Comment Settings

Thanks Thiefthief for sticking with me through my mistakes and helping me to hopefully fix this problem. I truly appreciate all your time and attention.

Use the name/URL option. Everything else has the potential for failure and it’s not your fault, it’s blogspot’s.
-
One cannot use the Name/URL option unless the Blogger blogger chooses to provide the option when they select comment settings to use on their blogs and most Blogger bloggers do not make that comment setting choice.
