Hi. I need to obtain a refund for an unused WordPress account that I haven’t and don’t use, which has been taken from my PayPal account. Thank you. Cedric Chesterman. -
I’m not seeing any upgrades associated with the WordPress.com user account you are posting from. This typically happens when you’ve ended up with a second WordPress.com user account and that second account is the one that owns the upgrade. You’ll need to log into THAT account in order to make any changes.
If you do not have access to that second account, here are a few options:
Account recovery overview – https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/
Lost password tool – https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
Account recovery form – https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recoveryFinally, even if you do not have access to the correct account, if you have your payment information you can use our “Why was I charged?” tool. It was built for situations such as this:

Sorry, thanks but I’m not understanding what you say. I’ve tried entering my details to the link “why was I charged” but this failed to find anything. Just to reiterate (as I realize that perhaps I was not being clear enough). I simply want WordPress to refund a payment made automatically and unbeknownst to me from my PayPal account for the sum of £100.00. I wish to do this ASAP Ie within the 48hrs allowed as for a number of reasons beyond my control I have not used the service. And do not intend to,

Could you delete these details once you have read them. Thanks. Wishing you well.

Hi there,
Thanks for the details.
We can help you cancel those subscriptions, however, before canceling the domain I’d like your confirmation because once we cancel it, you will lose all your rights to it. If you’d like to use it in the future, I’d recommend transferring it instead. Please confirm you want us to cancel the domain cedric-chesterman.co.uk. Thanks!

Thank you ever so much! I really appreciate your swift response and willingness to help. Yes I wish to confirm that I’d like to cancel the subscription and to be reimbursed the £100.00which has been was debited from my PayPal account.
I’d like to add that I may use WordPress in the future ( it does look excellent) at which point I understand that I would have to set up a new account and donain name. This is something I will consider in the future. However for the time being please just reimburse the sum mentioned and delete the forum post with my banking details etc.
Once again thank you, wishing you well and have a good day.

Thank you very much. Yours and others help at WordPress in resolving the issue is much appreciated and makes it all the more likely that at some point in the future I may use the service. Wishing you well, have a good day.
