Request site privacy

The Daycare has lost access to our WordPress dashboard and is unable to regain access through reset password or the account recovery forum.
Our WordPress website has been inactive for over 10 years and we would like it to be set to private.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Since the website has been inactive for over 10 years and standard password reset options are completely out of reach, you won’t be able to log in to change the privacy settings yourself. Because changing a site to private or restricting access requires verifying site ownership, I have flagged this thread directly for Staff / Happiness Engineers. A staff member will need to step in to contact you through a secure channel, verify your connection to teddybearsdaycare.wordpress.com, and assist you with manually archiving or setting the site to private from our system backend!

Hi @cordeiroben,
I understand it’s a difficult situation not being able to access your site dashboard.
If you know the email address connected to your WordPress.com account but have forgotten your password, you can reset it using the Lost Password form here:
https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
If you don’t remember your login information, or if the email address or username you entered isn’t recognized, you can complete the Account Recovery form below to verify your account ownership:
https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery
Please note that if it isn’t possible to verify your identity, access to the account cannot be granted for security reasons. We have a strict policy in place to protect user data. More information about this can be found here:
https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/#if-ownership-cannot-be-established
Let me know if you need any further guidance.

Hi,
If you no longer have access to the account that owns the site, volunteers in the forum can’t change the site’s visibility settings for you.
Since password reset and account recovery haven’t worked, you’ll need assistance from the WordPress.com staff. Please create an account recovery request and provide as much ownership information as possible so they can verify the request and help regain access to the site.
Once access is restored, you can change the site’s privacy settings from Settings → General → Privacy and set the site to Private.
A staff member should be able to review this request and advise on the available options for the site.
