Request to make old public site private due to personal photos
-
The WordPress account associated with this website used a university email address that was deactivated after graduation, so I can no longer access that account or complete standard recovery.
The website is currently public and contains identifiable photos and personal content involving me that I no longer consent to having publicly accessible online.
Because I cannot access the original email, I’m requesting assistance with either:
- alternative ownership verification, or
- making the site private/suspending public access for privacy reasons.
I can provide additional information to verify my connection to the account if needed.
Thank you.

Hi there, thanks for explaining.
Use the Account Recovery form here:
https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery
You don’t need to be logged in to use it. Add the site address, a current email address where WordPress.com support can reach you, and any ownership proof you still have. In the “Extra Details” field, mention that the site contains identifiable photos/personal content and that you’re asking for it to be made private if ownership can’t be verified.
Please don’t post receipts, activation links, IDs, or other private proof in this public thread.

Thank you. The issue is that I cannot actually submit the Account Recovery form because it requires one of the listed ownership verification methods before submission is allowed.
All of the available verification methods are tied to the school email account that was permanently deactivated after graduation, so I am unable to complete the form at all.
Because of this, I’m requesting a different process specifically for privacy and public access concerns rather than account recovery.
The site contains identifiable photos and personal content involving me that I no longer consent to having publicly accessible online. Since I cannot access the account or complete the ownership verification process, I am requesting that the site be made private or otherwise removed from public access.
If there is a separate contact method or form for privacy related removal requests that does not require standard ownership verification, please let me know.
Thank you.

Hi, I am having almost an identical issue as this.
Is it at all possible someone is able to get in touch with me regarding my account?
