  Is there a way to find out when a currently used website becomes available?

  Hi there!

  Are you referring to a custom domain or a WordPress.com site address?

  If you’re referring to a custom domain: There isn’t a way to be notified from our side. But if you’re looking to reuse a domain that’s currently in use, there might be third-party services that can send you a reminder (we aren’t able to suggest one, though).

  Generally speaking, a domain can take a long time to become available if the current owner decides to cancel or let it expire. Even then, there’s no guarantee that the domain will become available again. Besides, someone else may register an available domain before you’ve had a chance.

  You could also try contacting the current owner of the domain to see if they’re interested in selling the domain to you.
