Resend verification error

A fellow author tried to click ‘resend verification’, but with two different emails, it still says error on the button. With no other message.

I don’t understand what you’re asking. What button says error?
Your WordPress.com account is already verified. If another user on the same site is having trouble verifying their account, they need to contact us. We can’t help with another account at your request.
We also cannot make changes to any other user on the site at your request. You are an author, and only admins have the ability to make changes to user permissions on a site.
