i was able to reset the password to login to wordpress, but to login to my site (puzzledude) admin the same password is not working, and i am still not receiving the email to reset password when i request it

To clarify, the login to your WordPress.com account is not the same as what you need to log in to your site at puzzledude.com
The reason you have a login with us is because of the Jetpack Plugin on your site, which ties into our cloud services on WordPress.com (and requires an account with us) but we don’t control login access to your Digital Ocean site.
The good news is that as long as you have access to the server control panel through Digital Ocean, it is always possible to regain access to your self-hosted WordPress site. This WordPress.org Codex article will walk you through it: https://wordpress.org/support/article/resetting-your-password/
You can ask Digital Ocean support for direct assistance in completing the steps in that article; they would be in the best position to help.
