reset theme to default settings

  I switched themes today, and don’t like the setup of the new one. I’d like to go back to the default WordPress theme – the way it looked when I first opened an account. How do I do this? Although the account has been set up for years…I am only just planning to use it. So really, not sure of what I am doing (in case that’s not obvious!)

  If you are wanting your theme reverted to its original layout, I can assist with that. Were you wanting the site emptied of its content as well? Let me know when you are ready to have the theme layout reverted and I’ll take care of it.

  Hi Darnelldibbles… I’m ready when you are. Content is fine. I just don’t like the Karuna theme…and couldn’t figure out how to revert to the original. The only content is some pics… and it doesn’t matter if they stay or go. I can restore them. Thanks so much!

  Hi darnelldibbles. Thank-you for emptying the content…but I am still seeing the Karuna template. It’s not the template that I began with. Sorry, I don’t know the name of the generic template I had prior to today. I couldn’t find it in the theme catalogue. Could it be that it’s not available anymore? It’s the theme I had when I first set up my blog in 2010.

  I believe the original theme you had was the Kubrick theme:

  It’s a old, retired theme, but you can reactivate it here.

  Try that and let me know if that works. Thanks!
