resizing photos in the header
-
I want the picture in my header to be much much smaller. I have spent an hour and a half trying to do this to no avail

Hi there – how small are you trying to make your header picture?
Is it an image you’ve already uploaded to your Media Library – would you be able to provide a link or the name of the file so I can take a look?
Header images in Yoko need to be at least 1102 pixels wide, so if you’re trying to use the crop tool in WordPress to make the image smaller than that, it may not work.
Let me know – thanks!

Kathryn – This is the link: http://juliecoulombe.wordpress.com/2013/04/02/why-sometimes-ive-believed-as-many-as-six-impossible-things-before-breakfast-through-the-looking-glass-and-what-alice-found-there-1872begin-at-the-beginning-the-king-said-gravely-and-go-on-t/
The picture I would like to upload to replace the plants is actually a single shot I edited out of the video clip that appears in the second post. It’s basically a head shot. Or, if I could get the video edited right, I would want that as my header. Are there themes that can have video in the header?

Hi there – is this the image you wanted to use?
That image is actually too small to be used as your header – it’s 367 x 364 pixels.
You could try using a graphics program to add white space on either side of the image so it’s at least 1102 pixels wide, as required by Yoko. Another options is that you could use another theme that allows square-shaped images to be used as a header image.
Are there themes that can have video in the header?
Not at the moment.
Just let me know if you need further help.
