Restore Domain

  I wanted to change my domain name to jkquarshie.wordpress.com. But I created a new domain with the same address and deleted it afterwards since I realised that I could have changed my site address. After deleting it, now the system tells me the domain (jkquarshie.wordpress.com) is not available. The same applies to another address I had wanted to use (faithlife.wordpress.com).
  Can you help restore these names so I can use any of them again? Thanks

  Hi there,

  Deleting an address does not free it up for use with another site. We show a warning saying this on the screen where you have to confirm deleting a site.

  I have restored https://jkquarshie.wordpress.com/ to your account. If you want to use that address for an existing site, you’ll need to manually migrate your content from the one site to the other using the export/import tools.

  The site address change option can only be used to change to an address that has never been used on WordPress.com before.

  I cannot restore faithlife.wordpress.com at your request, as your account has never been the owner of that site – only the account that used to own a WordPress.com address can undelete it. Additionally, that site was deleted over 7 years ago, so it’s no longer possible to restore it at all.
