Restore of a managed WordPress website at 1&1 Ionos Webhoster
-
Dear All,
all managed wordpress installations at the webhoster 1&1 Ionos can’t be restored because you can’t set the write permissions on the managed wordpress folder.
Does anybody know how i can allow write permissions on the managed wordpress folders?
If i like to restore my website with BackWP Up Pro i get the following error:
[2020-01-25 14:19:56] restore.ERROR: File /homepages/14/d723676028/htdocs/app723687144/wp-config.php cannot be restored because it is not writable or the directory doesn’t have the right permissions [] []
I tried to change the write permissions but it doesn’t work within the managed wordpress folders.
On other Folders on the webspace i can change the write permissions.
Does anybody know how i can change also the write permissions of the managed wordpress folders?
Best Regards

Hi there, You’ll want to contact your web hosting provider directly for assistance with this issue. If they say this is a WordPress problem, you’ll want to head over to https://wordpress.org/support/ where you’ll find documentation and users who have more experience with the software you are using. If you don’t have a username on the ORG forums you can register one on the top of that page.
Just to clarify, this support forum assists users of the WPcom platform. For more information on the differences: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
