Restoring 1.5Gb 2014 backup file

  I need to access an old 2014 archive site for a publication I am compiling. The original backup .tar.gz file is 1.08Gb and the extracted folder is 1.12Gb. It looks like it was on WP 3.9.1.

  It is almost 10yrs since I was ‘au fait’ with wordpress and allied software, so the memory is a little rusty, particularly at 71!

  Can anyone outline the optimum way to access the old site, ideally so that I can export it to a .pdf or similar??
