Restoring archived work

    Does anyone know if there is any way to retrieve blogs written 2 or 3 years ago? If the accounts have not been accessed/paid for, is the information completely wiped out? Or is there an archive that can be restored?

    Hi there, any time a WordPress.com site with an upgrade plan and custom domain or domain mapping isn’t renewed, the site reverts to its underlying WordPress.com site address. Sites here do not expire and their content is available via the dashboard.

    Looking at thecandidmother.com in the Internet Archive, it looks like your site was using the open source WordPress software rather than being hosted here on the WordPress.com platform. https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    Have you tried contacting your former web hosting provider for a backup? If they say this is a WordPress problem, you’ll want to head over to https://wordpress.org/support/ where you’ll find documentation and users who have more experience with the software you are using. If you don’t have a username on the ORG forums you can register one on the top of that page.
