resume pdf uploaded then deleted, but still present when google searched

a few years ago, in a college introduction course, our professor assigned us with the task of creating a blogsite where we’d be able to write about ourselves, but the resume i uploaded (about 4 years ago) still pops up if i google myself as a pdf. this is problematic because my home address, phone number, email, everything is on the resume. i went into the site and deleted the link that leads to the pdf but it still appears on google. this is a ‘tough cookie to crack’ for me! i sure do wish that the wordpress staff was easier to contact so i could ask them, but if anyone has any advice i’d be beyond grateful!

Did you delete the actual file from your WordPress.com media library? Or just the link to the file from your site?

You need to delete the file itself from your media library.
