Retaining the www. part of a domain
-
If I’ve upgraded to a custom domain, let’s say example.com, then if someone types http://www.example.com into their web browser they end up at example.com. Is there a way to have it remain http://www.example.com? I understand this can be done with the self-hosted version of WordPress, I was wondering if WordPress.com hosted sites can do this too.
And yes, I know www is so last century.
Thanks

No. www is an antiquated version, which is visible to a smaller group than the non-www version. For this reason, all www version of URLs in WordPress.com forward to the non-www version.
