Retrieve deleted posts

  Hello!
  I had to ‘hide’ my site in April this year for political reasons – what I wanted to do was return everything to draft status – I am now happy to show the site again and everything really has gone! Is there any way to get the posts back? I don’t have copies elsewhere.

  The title of the thread says “retrieve deleted posts”. Did you delete the posts or did you “return everything to draft status” ? Drafts can easily be recovered. Trashed items are only kept for 30 days.

  To “hide” a site you just need to click on “Settings” and set the site to “private”
  PS: I see a number of your older posts in the Wayback machine. If your posts aren’t still saved as drafts on your WordPress.com site then as a last resort you could copy/paste some of the text from there.

  I thought what I did was reverse-able, I don’t know what I did. Looks like they may be deleted. However, wow, the web archive has at least one of the pieces I want to rescue! This is great!
