Reusable blocks have disappeared

Hello, my reusable blocks have disappeared and I am also unable to create new blocks. I have not added any new plugins (there would have only been updates to current ones). I have the most recent version of wordpress (5.7)

Just to clarify – the images/text that were in previous reusable blocks are still on my posts/pages, I just do not have the ability to access the reusable blocks anymore or create new ones. When I go to create a new block/browse all, I only have the option for “blocks” or “patterns”. “Reusable blocks” is no longer there as an option for me to choose. Also when I try to create a new reusable block, it does not work. When I go to https://wordpress.com/types/wp_block/stencilstudios.com it says no reusable blocks found. Any help would be so appreciated!

  • Hi there!

I’m afraid that your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with Siteground.

Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites hosted elsewhere; we can only assist with sites hosted on our servers. You can read more about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com here:
    https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/.

I can see you’re using Jetpack though. If you have the Jetpack Backup active, you would be able to restore your site to the latest backup when everything was working correctly.

If not, you can look for help at the community forums here: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/.

http://wordpress.org/support/ is also a great resource for sites using the open-source WordPress.org software.
