Reversing Site Deletion

  I’m currently in need of reversing the deletion of ericmildner.com, as I believed it would undo the current work done on the website, rather than ultimately locking the address and deleting the whole site.

  Hi there,

  All signs point to the fact that your site is a self-hosted WordPress.org site, not a WordPress.com site.

  To clear up any confusion, self-hosted WordPress sites and WordPress.com are two, different entities, but the essential difference is that we don’t have access to all WordPress sites, only ones hosted on our WordPress.com servers. For more information, please see:

  The domain is hosted with Bluehost, so I would contact them in regards to restoring your site.

  That is entirely unusual to be entirely frank, as I have no web hosting equipment, let alone FTP or client to run that system.

  Additionally, it seems that the domain for bluehost is filed under ericmildner.com but wordpress reads it as .org. I did change it earlier before the deletion for testing the differences of the two, as you said earlier for plugins and the sort.

  Thank you for the input, I hope I didn’t just waste $200+ on a site that I can’t recover using a plan.

  ericmildner.org is not currently registered anywhere. Perhaps I misunderstood what the second domain involved was. If so, please let me know.

  It’s a little confusing sorting out the differences of the managed environment we provide at WordPress.com versus using the open source WordPress.org software. Everything that I can see indicates your site is the latter. A self hosted site using the WordPress software.
