RSS Feed is repeating

  My RSS feed for the initial post and the comments on a blog I follow – freoview – sends subsequent repeats. So I get the feed when the initial post is made on one fed, and later I get feeds for comments that are added, and that is just what I want. But then later sometimes months later, I get a repeat of one of those Initial posts or comments. Recently I got lots, now in their hundreds!

  1. Click the “unsubscribe” link on the emails of the posts received at the very bottom of the emails.

  2. Or return to the post and click the link to unsubscribe from the comments there.

  I think your suggestions apply to e-mail notifications. Whereas my issue is with RSS feed. Its not e-mails as such, although RSS feed are sent to my RSS folder within my inbox.
  I don’t want to turn off the RSS feed, but can’t figure out why a feed I have already read, sometimes ages ago, comes back as a highlighted unread RSS feed?
  I am not using RSS feed for this particular exchange, instead I am using Notify me of followup posts via e-mail.
