Samsung Internet Browser

  When trying to open WordPress.com with Samsung Internet Browser on an Android tablet the site reports ‘unsupported browser’. It is possible to override and proceed to the site but it does seem odd tgat this browser is not recognised.

  I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

  Hi, it is Android version 7 with Samsung Internet Browser version 15.

  Ah, that is older than we can support. Are you able to upgrade to Android 11?

  It is not the Android version that is the problem as I can log in with Chrome or Firefox no problem on the same tablet and all apps are up-to-date.

  Hi there,

  You have the latest version of Samsung Internet which is based on Chromium and it should work.

  I’ll ask our developers what might be the case and I’ll update you.

  In the meantime, you can use Chrome or Firefox.
