Save as draft

I’m trying to figure out or remember how to save a piece I’m working on as a draft until it’s ready to be posted. As it is now, I think it’s been ‘published’, then edited, then saved as a web archive. But I’m pretty sure I’ve saved other posts as drafts until I am finished with it?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi,

But I’m pretty sure I’ve saved other posts as drafts until I am finished with it?

It’s possible and easy to do so. The Autosave support page says:

As you write and edit your posts and pages on WordPress.com, the changes you make are automatically saved every few seconds. In the Publish Module at the top left of the editor, you’ll see when the entry was last saved and can click Save to force the editor to save.

The “Save” link may disappear when you stop typing (did in my test anyway). It will appear when you begin typing again. I always use the wp-admin editors, and this was my first test typing into a “new” post editor.
