Scammer
-
I found a scammer trying to steal money using a WordPress site, but it seems impassible to find anyone that can shut the site down

Hi there,
What is the URL of your site so we can look it up in our system? Thanks for the additional info!

To be complete he goes around to legitimate trading sites, and starts a conversation in the manner of “this place didn’t do well…but at this place I made a lot of money”. Etc. We are all friends in one room I’m in and he was spamming many people trying to lure good people into entering their personal information

Not to cross the line….but WordPress should follow these things up with the authorities. People sometimes literally lose everything they have and become penny less…sometimes committing suicide because of things like this. It’s very serious and in theory you guys should have some leads, even if it’s a simple IP addy, or like I say reporting properly.
I thank you! Enjoy your weekend!

Hello there, that site you mentioned is not hosted here on WordPress.com
Nameservers:
NS1.BLUEHOST.COM
NS2.BLUEHOST.COMTo report that site, you’d need to contact BlueHost directly https://www.bluehost.com/help/article/contacting-support
That site is using the open source WordPress software that anyone can download and install with any hosting provider or private server they want. WordPress.com (the hosting platform) has no ability to shut down or remove content from sites that are hosted on servers we do not control.
