search engine hits on a deleted blog
-
When I google my full name, one of the top hits is a blog post I wrote in 2011 at my former blog krisoverland.wordpress.com. I have deleted the blog because I didn’t want that post to show up if someone googled me. If you click the link to the blog post you’ll be informed that the blog has been deleted, but even so it still shows up when you google my name. How do I remove this completely?

Hi there,
It’s up to Google to decide when and how to include/remove this page from search results, WordPress.com doesn’t have any control over that. For more information you can read our FAQ about search engines here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/search-engines/You can try requesting removal from Google by following the instructions here:
http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=92865Google also provides information and tools for webmasters, you might find further information on their tools here:

Thanks!
