Search engines not finding me

Hi, My question is about search engines. Every time I type in “barbaralamprecht.com” I get something about robot.txt not allowing searches. I changed that about a half hour ago, i forget where, or think i did, but the same thing keeps coming up when i check it on google. And when i put in key words in the search bar, such as ‘brain building conference architecture lamprecht’ nothing comes up. I want to be seen, and found. What should I do? Thank you!

WordPress.com automatically sends notifications to Google with every post and page update. The search engines can take 4-6 weeks or more to add any new sites. Read this page for more information about WordPress.com and Search Engines.

It will take a couple of days from the time you created your blog for to show up in WordPress.com search results.

You can control whether or not search engines index your site in your Privacy Settings in your dashboard at Settings > Privacy Settings.

    Hello Kardotim,

Yes, a day before I contacted WordPress I changed my privacy settings to “allow search engines” to find my site, a couple years old. I had no idea they couldn’t. Just to be clear, are you saying that typically it takes 4 to 6 weeks for Google to register this change in privacy settings, as the site is not new?

    Thank you,

    Barbara
