“Security Issues” reject login & password – can’t access blog

  i tried to log in with the correct user name & password but WordPress wouldn’t let me in saying there is suddenly a “security issue” and I would have to reset my password. Problem is the email address associated with my blog hasn’t been active for a long time. So, trying to reset the password is hopeless because they send it to an is give email address. And, no, I cannot find any of the codes, etc. they claim I should have. So even though my username and password are correct, wordpress claims it can’t authenticate my identity. That is MY original artwork & writing on the site!!!!
