seeking to move a site to wordpress.

My current site is with a TP web hosting company called a plus. Their package includes an install of wordpress but it’s limited and i wanted to know if its possible to move everything from that TP company (all files, and the domain name) to your hosting, without wordpress in the name? I need help doing this if it’s possible? thank you ! please note, it’s not any of the blogs i currently have under this account. its a site that has its own wordpress install but the hosting company is poor with supporting so id like to move it all.

Well, WordPress.com also has limitations. Which specific limitations have caused you to want to move your blog?
Yes, you can import your blog (sans theme) to a whatever.wordpress.com blog here and if you buy the Domain Mapping upgrade you can then attach your custom domain to it.

Ha ha ! I recognize your avatar from gawker, the internet is a small world after all ! What’s causing me to move my site is that the host basically has a pretty old version of the wp install they offer. So I cant use a lot of plug ins and there a ton of glitches, that when I try and resolve, am told that the support is limited since they’re not wp. So i just want to move the site to wordpress. Ive seen this product called “guided transfer” but Im not sure that’s what I want ( but it could be) any thoughts? Also what the difference between hosting on wordpress and hosting on like bluehost? thanks for reply.
