Self-approving
-
Hello,
Please get read of the notion of self-approving commets. Scenario — I have one blog with moderated comments, I write a post A, then I write post B and add a link to A, soon I will receive notification that I need to approve MY OWN link as a comment on post A.
This is absurd, this is no an external comment — the person commenting, approving, the author of blog, and all posts is exactly the same. Me.
So please, please, detect the identity of the person, and if the comment comes from the author of the blog, automatically approve it.
Kind regards,
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
What you’re speaking of is not comments. It’s called pingbacks – links between WordPress.com sites or between different posts/pages on the same site. Pingbacks always need to be approved. This is how the feature is designed to work, and it’s not something that can be disabled.
You can only disable pingbacks entirely on a post-by-post basis, or for the entire site.
You can find more information about how pingbacks work here:
