selling ebooks from my author web site?

    I want to be able to have people upload my short stories, and later novels, but I want them to be able to do that only after they pay for them. How do i accomplish this?

    Hi there,

    There are several ways you can do this.

    The cheapest (free) but most complicated is to add a PayPal button and contact form to your site. Then people can pay via the PayPal button, and send you their payment confirmation via the contact form. Then you email the ebook to them.

    The most expensive is to use an eCommerce plugin like WooCommerce that allows you to sell digital products which are automatically sent to the buyer when they pay. Using plugins on WordPress.com will require the Business Plan.

    But the simplest option would be to us another service to actually sell the ebooks and just link to it from your website. If you want to go big you can do this via Amazon or Google Play, but there are many other services that also allow you to do this. Those kinds of services will then take care of the payment and downloads aspect for you at a nominal fee. There are several options mentioned in this Quora thread:
