Selvage old wordpress site content

    I have a download from a WordPress.com server instance of my old blog. I am trying to pull the post content (words and images) from that entire blog as reference for content on my new blog. I am a writer and want to selvage the written content of each blog post. I have been searching through the directories but can’t find the written content from each post anywhere. Is there a file(s) that have this and how can I obtain it?
