  WordPress.com sites are already optimized for SEO and if you follow the tips here, you should be fine. http://en.support.wordpress.com/?s=traffic

  Plugins are for use on the standalone version of WordPress. We can’t use them here on WordPress.com. For better clarity, you’ll want to read this Support doc on the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ and http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/
