separate websites

    I have established a blog and persona and I would like to create a professional website that is separate from my first one, yet some aspects are linked—what is your suggestion? Create a new blog integrating the former one or keep two blogs? I do not want to abandon my blog name and the personality of my original blog, yet I want followers to find the new site which highlights my professional interests. I would appreciate suggestions.

    Hi –

    It sounds like you have 2 different projects in mind, so I would suggest you use that as a guideline. The sites can easily link to one another through the site menu.

    For example, on the original blog, you can have a link in the menu or a widget that would take people to the professional site. On the professional site you can have a link to your blog. That will make it easily discoverable for folks regardless of which option they find.
