Serve part of domain with wordpress

Can wordpress premium work behind a haproxy or apache rewrite module? I cannot transfer our domain to wordpress because we provide custom services on some routes of it, but I’d transfer/proxy the pages and blog to it. Is that possible?

  • @clearvisio do you mean with a subdomain? We can do that. We can also help you get root/www pointed here, in some cases. Let us know what you prefer.

@supernovia No not subdomain, but urls in the same domain. e.g. example.com/api is served by our servers but all other routes/urls are served by wordpress. WordPress would receive proxied requests, i.e. the domain name is registered to our servers ip addresses where our proxy decides where to route the request. Is that possible?

  • I’m not sure what settings that would require on our side. Generally, though, if a domain or subdomain is pointed to our IP addresses, either by our namesrvers or yours, we can route that to the right site here on our servers. Our servers don’t support redirection of /subdirectories to other servers.

If possible I’d recommend using subdomains rather than subdirectories, since they don’t require nearly as much fancy footwork. But if you definitely need the subdirectory support, please let us know what settings you’d need on our end and I’ll let you know if it’s possible.
