Server Not Found

  my blog is not able to be opened. It says ‘sever not found’. This has been the case for 2 weeks now. My blog address is http://www.whenlifeisamission.com. Thanks.

  Hi there,

  When you first signed up for the WordPress.com Premium trial plan, you registered the domain whenlifeisamission.com to use with your site. However, you cancelled both the plan and that domain on April 20. When you cancelled the domain then, you gave up ownership of that domain (so it isn’t yours to use with your site anymore).

  That domain hasn’t been released by our domain registrar yet, so it isn’t available to register again. When you added the domain back to your site, it didn’t re-register the domain for you since the domain was still unavailable. It just added a domain mapping upgrade, which only works when you already own the domain you want to use.

  I just removed that domain mapping for whenlifeisamission.com, since you don’t currently own that domain. I also reset the domain credit in your Premium plan, so you’re welcome to register a new, different domain for free if you want.

  Another option is to wait until the domain whenlifeisamission.com is released, to see if you can register it again then. You can keep checking the Domains page regularly to see if the domain is available to register there. (That could take some time, and there’s no guarantee it will become available for you to register again.)

  Thank you for your response. When I try to go to http://www.whenlifeisamission.wordpress.com it also says server not available. Is it the “whenlifeisamission” that is not available? Can I use http://www.whenlifeisamission.ca? Or do I have to change the name completely?

  I see you went ahead and registered the domain whenlifeisamission.co. You can access your site either using its free address http://whenlifeisamission.wordpress.com/ or your new domain: http://whenlifeisamission.co/

  Do you still get an error message when you use one of those links to get to your site?
