Setting Site to private

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hello,

I set my blog to private so people have to request access to view it. A few people have mentioned they have requested access but I haven’t seen anything to approve in my e-mail or my notifications here. Can you let me know how to approve requests? Thanks!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi,

Such requests for access may have been missed by WordPress.com (I have no way of knowing what happened to them), but in each case if you have the member’s account email address or username then you may invite the same to accept a user role on your site as described in the Inviting Contributors, Followers, and Viewers support page. From that support page:

After sending the invitation, the person that you invited will receive an invitation email.

Once the user clicks the “Accept Invitation” button in that email, they will now be able to access your blog by visiting the My Blogs section of their dashboard when they log in to WordPress.com.
