Setting up a new blog with custom URL

    I want to set up a new blog with a custom domain. We already have a website (slowfoodsandiego.net) hosted by another company. I would like to move our website from our current host to WordPress.com. I intend on purchasing Domain mapping and No Ads packages. Our current blog with WordPress is a free blog under the account of one of our Slow Food members. We want to move the content from that blog to a the new blog with the custom domain name. Can I do all this with my currentl account with WordPress which is linked with our current blog or do I need to set up another account with WordPress? What other issues do I need to be aware of?

    You can have more than one blog per account – all blogs belong to the account that registers them – but you can transfer the blog easily – same for all upgrades

    You should read the terms of service – http://en.wordpress.com/tos/

    I have seen a few sites for restaurants and such – note the part about you not being able to sell advertising – I am not staff but putting the daily special would seem OK to me

    Unless your old site is on a WordPress.ORG platform or other blog software you will need to hand move the contents –
