setting up a new site

  I already have an active website, but want to build a new one on wordpress to replace it. Can I build the new site under a different name in WordPress, and then transfer it over to the same URL that I currently use for my active website when it is ready?

  You certainly can get your site set up here before switching your domain over!

  When you sign up for a new site, we give you a free subdomain (*.wordpress.com) that you can use to start building your new site.
