  How do I make and trial the new WordPress website in parallel to the existing site if they share the same domain name.

  The best way to test out a WordPress.com site before making it “live” with your existing domain name is to leave the WordPress.com site with the standard ______.wordpress.com URL (yourgroovysite.wordpress.com for example).

  Then, once the site is set up the way you like, you can connect your existing domain name.

  Does that make sense?
